Design Development

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT.

So far we have explored PROGRAMMING, SCHEMATIC DESIGN and PRELIMINARY PRICING. These phases put all the pieces in place to start developing the final design. During the DESIGN DEVELOPMENT phase, the creative juices start to flow. In this phase, we start selecting finishes, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, developing power/data plans and reflected ceiling plans.

Reflect-a, wha?

Okay, a reflected ceiling plan is simpler to visualize as if you were looking down on it from above. It’s done like this because if you designed it as though you were looking up, everything would seem backwards, at least on paper. IF you are still curious, Wikihow has published this FASCINATING “How To Read A Reflected Ceiling Plan” complete with detailed drawings… https://www.wikihow.com/Read-a-Reflected-Ceiling-Plan

During the design development process, we put together visualization boards, floor plans, elevations and can even include 3D views of the space to help communicate the design to you and show a cohesive, well thought-out, detailed interior.

The design development phase encapsulates the final design for client approval.

Once approved, we move to CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS…
